Finishing the last days of our trip, we literally “got lost”’in the trails in The Emerald Forest at Beech Mountain. I’m not sure how many miles we did but I think we were hit most of the trails and all of the viewpoints. I’d definitely go back there.

A full week of this mountain life. Today it is upper 50’s and tomorrow in the 70’s but cooler
At night and no AC required. Hikes, wineries and enjoying lots of outside time this week. Gidget is enjoying it too🐶.

Look closely and you can see Opal’s shiny hiney😂. This place does not disappoint and most sites have lake views. The added bonus, no AC needed but that will change tomorrow.

Off we go with Buster & Opal for the night. Tomorrow Opal will get dropped off for some well deserved upgrades. She’ll be ready for anything. Buster loves when Opal follows him

We are Marty & Lisa. After decades of flying across the US, we wanted more control. For years, we planned and dreamed of the day we would be able to buy a “home on wheels” and journey at our own pace in our own space. That day started with baby steps just two years ago. Now we are ready to leave the east coast and explore so much more with Buster our TV and Opal our TT. We are super excited for our first trip of 2026 and our longest trip yet. Oh, wait… we don’t have a defined schedule and this is a first for us. Just a few reservations along the way with places we don’t want to miss. If this is a successful trip, we may adopt this strategy going forward. Wait and see what we choose…
