Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit the new Reitnouer manufacturing facility — and I can honestly say it was an impressive experience from start to finish.
We want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who made this meeting possible. A special thank you to Bud Reitnouer for taking the time to meet with us. It’s not every day you get to speak directly with an owner who is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely kind and down-to-earth.
Seeing the production process up close gave us even more respect for the quality behind Reitnouer trailers. The attention to detail, the organization of the facility, and the professionalism of the entire team truly stand out.
What impressed us the most was the way people are treated — you can feel the strong culture and pride throughout the company.
We’re proud to work with partners who share the same commitment to quality, safety, and excellence.
Thank you again for the warm welcome — looking forward to building more together.

🚨 Be ready for CVSA Roadcheck 2026 (May 12–14)!
Make sure your documents, ELD, and truck are inspection-ready to avoid violations and downtime. Stay safe and compliant out there. 💪🚛

With CVSA Roadcheck 2026 set for May 12–14, inspectors across North America are preparing for a surge in roadside inspections, and new guidance highlights what drivers should review now. The CVSA has released updated inspection cheat sheets outlining key focus areas, including driver documents, vehicle condition, and enforcement priorities.

During the three-day event, officers will conduct Level I inspections, checking licenses, medical cards, logs, and hours-of-service records. ELD compliance will be closely reviewed, along with driver condition and safety practices.

Vehicle inspections will cover brakes, tires, lights, and structural components, while cargo securement remains a major focus. Improperly secured loads could lead to violations or out-of-service orders.

Defense freight is getting stricter - new legislation could reshape compliance for carriers and owner-operators.

Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton has introduced new legislation aimed at tightening security around trucks hauling U.S. military equipment. The proposed Trucking Security and CCP Disclosure Act would require carriers to certify they have no ties to certain foreign entities and pass national security checks.

The bill would also create a federal registry of approved carriers eligible to transport Department of Defense freight. Companies not listed in the registry could be blocked from hauling these loads.

The proposal applies to motor carriers, subcontractors, and owner-operators, with strict penalties for false certifications.

If passed, the measure could bring new compliance requirements for carriers involved in military freight and change how U.S. military equipment is transported across the country.

Good news for drivers running through Oklahoma. 🚛
TA Express opens a new travel center with 40 truck parking spaces in South Coffeyville, OK.

A new TA Express travel center has opened in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, adding truck parking, fuel, and driver services along U.S. Highway 169. TravelCenters of America announced the new location as part of its continued expansion to support commercial drivers traveling through northeastern Oklahoma and nearby freight corridors.

The travel center features four diesel fueling lanes with DEF, ten gasoline lanes, and 40 truck parking spaces. Parking availability remains a major issue across the trucking industry, making new locations like this important for drivers needing safe places to stop during required rest breaks.

The site also includes food and convenience options such as The Stuffed Burrito Company, an on-site deli, and a travel store, with Golden Chick expected to open soon. Additional amenities include showers, laundry facilities, and driver lounge areas.

Encouraging truckers to share their real-world experience through programs like this is a smart way for regulators to refine policies, adapt to a changing industry, and make sure the rules actually work for drivers.

The FMCSA is seeking 18 commercial drivers to help pre-test more flexible sleeper berth splits and a new 14-hour "window pause" before these pilot programs roll out nationwide.
