Dear Members,

Due to significant storm damage and the resulting power outage, our Michigan City location is temporarily closed until further notice.

At this time, the marina does not have the electrical power necessary to operate the fuel pumps or restroom facilities, making it impossible for us to safely and properly operate the location.

We have been advised that power restoration is currently estimated to take approximately 7–10 days. We understand how disappointing this is, especially during the boating season, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Our team will continue to monitor the situation closely, and we will reopen Michigan City as soon as power and marina services are safely restored. We will keep everyone updated as we receive additional information.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.

Due to significant storm damage and the resulting power outage, our Portage location is temporarily closed until further notice.

Due to the severe storms that impacted the Portage area and the extended power outages across the region, we’ve made the decision to postpone Thursday’s Dockside Social at Marina Shores.

Our thoughts are with our friends at the marina and the surrounding community as they work through the damage and recovery.

We look forward to getting together at Marina Shores soon and will share more details once a new date is scheduled.

A birthday she'll never forget. 💙

Dianne came to South Haven expecting a relaxing day on the water to celebrate her 70th birthday. Instead, she was surprised by her two sons, who had traveled from Vermont and Detroit to celebrate with her.

After an unforgettable day on the water, our team welcomed Dianne back to the dock with flowers, a personalized birthday sign, and a few extra surprises to help celebrate her milestone.

Due to National Weather Service Dense Smoke Advisories, Air Quality Alerts, and hazardous visibility conditions from wildfire smoke, all Freedom Boat Club of Michiana locations are closed today.

This decision was made to protect the health and safety of our employees and members.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to getting everyone back on the water as soon as conditions improve.

Important Club Update – Temporary Closure Due to Air Quality

Good morning, Freedom Boat Club Michiana Members.
Due to the Air Quality Alert caused by wildfire smoke affecting southwest Michigan and northern Indiana, we have made the decision to close all Freedom Boat Club Michiana locations for today.

The health and safety of our members and our team is always our top priority. While we understand many of you were looking forward to getting out on the water, the current air quality has the potential to affect breathing, especially for those spending extended periods outdoors.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we believe this is the right decision based on today's conditions. We will continue to monitor the air quality and will provide updates as conditions improve.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to getting everyone back on the water as soon as it is safe to do so.
