We found one of those little travel gems that you would NEVER know about unless you went looking for it. 🦙🤍

Stoney Meadows Alpaca Farm & Fiber Mill in Holley, NY was such a cool stop — and the best part? Our visit was completely FREE.

We simply called ahead and made a reservation, and Teresa, the owner, personally toured us around the farm and the fiber mill.

The girls got to pet the alpacas and sheep, play with the cleaned alpaca fleece, and then watch the actual process of turning that fleece into yarn. 🧶 It was so neat seeing the whole process from alpaca → fleece → fiber → yarn → finished products.

They also have a little shop with alpaca yarn, hats, gloves, socks, dryer balls and more.

And the dryer balls we bought? 🙌🏼 They have been SO good for keeping clothes separated in the dryer for a more even dry. Definitely one of those random travel purchases we didn’t know we needed!

“Do you really think your kids will be prepared for an office job later in life without sitting in a classroom?” 😅

Honestly… we have no idea what jobs our kids will have someday.

But we do know we’re teaching them how to learn, adapt, communicate, solve problems, think independently, and be comfortable in unfamiliar places.

They’re learning math in the RV.
They’re reading in new states.
They’re asking questions at museums.
They’re learning history by standing where it happened.
They’re figuring out how to navigate new places and meet new people.

And maybe someday they’ll have an office job.

Or maybe they won’t.

Our goal isn’t to prepare them for one specific career. It’s to prepare them for life. ❤️

And we’re pretty confident there’s more than one way to do that. 🚐🌎

“So when are you coming back to real life?” 😂

If this isn’t real life, I don’t want to come back to whatever y’all are talking about. 🤷🏼‍♀️🚐

We’ve been told we’re lucky, and in some ways, we absolutely are. We’re lucky to have a supportive family who has always been willing to go along with our crazy ideas and cheer us on.

But beyond that? This life wasn’t luck. It was intentional.

We chose it.
We worked for it.
We saved for it.
We planned for it.
And ultimately, we decided to bet on ourselves.

There’s nothing wrong with the traditional version of “real life.” It just wasn’t the life we wanted.

So no… we don’t know when we are coming back to “real life,” we may just live in fantasy land forever🤍😂

What’s something you’ve intentionally chosen for your life that people might think you’re just “lucky” to have? 👇🏼

“Is that seriously what you call it… your house?”

Yep. 🤍

Because it’s not really about the four walls, the square footage, or whether it has wheels.

It’s where the four of us have made memories we’ll talk about forever and experienced an incalculable number of new places, adventures, and little moments together. ❤️

So yeah… it’s our house. 🏡🚐
But more importantly, it’s our home. ❤️

Question no.1 from non-RVers… and trust me, there are more. 🚐😂

And somehow, this is just the beginning. 👀

Apparently, RVing comes with a rulebook we forgot to read. 😂

1️⃣ Fix things like the tow assist when the error light comes on instead of saying, “Joe Smo has run without his for 3 years.”

2️⃣ Use “unnecessary” hacks like measuring our slides with a tape measure so we know exactly what we’re working with around trees, electric posts, water hookups, etc.

3️⃣ Not breaking into someone’s RV to pull in their awning during a storm… but instead giving a friendly PSA when we’ve watched one nearly get ripped off.

4️⃣ Homeschool our kids while traveling because we believe seeing the country, experiencing new places, and learning through real life can be just as valuable as a textbook.

5️⃣ Choosing RV life because we LOVE the freedom and it works for our family… without apparently needing to prove whether we’re rich, poor, homeless, or financially irresponsible. 😂

The internet can disagree. We’re still gonna do what makes sense for our family. 🤷‍♀️😂
