Easter baskets for the seniors at Premier Care Homes are coming along nicely, thanks to a very special high school student at Western Christian School who has worked so hard to help us put this together.

Seniors helping seniors.

Capital Senior Services is partnering with local high school seniors volunteering their time and effort to put together Easter baskets for elderly living in care homes in the Salem area.

For a start, I thought I would reach out to see if anybody had any Easter items they might be willing to donate such as plastic eggs, or baskets.

10,000 bottles, $1000, and one herniated disc later. It was worth every moment of it. Looking forward to 23 smiles on 23 faces Christmas morning in the Keizer Ridge Memory Care Unit.

I am thankful to have made a career out of making others happy. My dad once said, “If you enjoy what you do, you won’t work a day in your life.”

I am happy to have the ability to enjoy what I am doing, and am grateful for the endless love and support from my amazing husband. Thank you Matt, for always inspiring me, and pushing me to achieve my goals.

We are so excited and happy to announce that our fundraising efforts have put us in route to be able to provide Christmas presents to all of the elderly in the memory care unit at Keizer Ridge Assisted Living. We have processed over 4000 cans and bottles in just two weeks to support this effort, and are optimistic we will be able to keep the pace up until Christmas. We are so beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a bit of happiness to the ones who need it most this holiday season. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this fundraiser such a success. Hoping all have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. ❤

We are collecting recyclable cans and bottles. Please message us if you have any. We are going green this Christmas, turning your donated recyclables into cash to purchase Christmas presents for seniors in the memory care unit at Keizer Ridge. To spread some good cheer this holiday season, Capital Senior Services will be participating in a surprise drop-in Christmas gifting to elderly in nursing homes. Covid has really put the damper on holiday spirit for so many, so what better way to bring back Christmas cheer than with the gift of giving. To help fund this, we are asking for recyclable cans and bottles.
