Been a busy couple weeks at Salty Slicks Marine!

We’ve been knocking out Yamaha and Suzuki services, getting a Bob’s jack plate installed, and have a new Garmin trolling motor install underway that we’re excited to share later this week!

Fall is here on the Crystal Coast, and whether you’re getting ready to hit the trout fishing hard or planning to hang it up for the winter, now’s a good time to get your boat taken care of.

From routine maintenance and winterization to fixing those issues that popped up after a long summer on the water, give us a call!

At home, on the lift, or at the ramp we come to you!

Suzuki 115 up on the lift this week. Customer didn’t want to mess with the water pump at first, so I started with fluids, filters and plugs. Got the motor running and had no discharge and it started climbing on temp. Came back the next day and knocked out the water pump and thermostat. Back up and running now.

Haven’t been able to post anything lately. I’ve been slammed, and honestly I’m very thankful for that. Still not the smoothest with the drone but I’m working on that too.

Fall is the best time of year out here on the Crystal Coast. You don’t want to be stuck at the dock. Give me a call for any maintenance and electrical needs

This customer was having starting issues and the battery tested very weak.

They decided to go ahead and replace both batteries and switch from two starting batteries to a starting battery and a deep cycle for the house. We got everything switched over the right way and the Suzuki fired right up.

While we were down there, we also noticed the raw water strainer bowl had a crack in it, so we replaced that too.

Sometimes it’s the small stuff that keeps you off the water.

If your boat has been giving you trouble or you just want to make sure everything is right, send us a message.

This customer hadn’t used this boat in a few years. It had sentimental value to them and they wanted to get back on it this summer. Got the engine service, carbs cleaned, new fuel, and new battery. Now, it’s running like a champ and will be back on the water soon! Give us a call

We had a customer who wanted to be able to charge his trolling motor batteries on the go for added security, so we got him hooked up with a Stealth 1 charger to pair with his NOCO charger at home. Cool setup and should make life a lot easier on long days.
