🌹 Good afternoon Facebook Friends!
It’s Roses and Ornamental grasses this month.
We are watching the weather forecasts, current and extended.…
As of now, it looks like we can get them cut back. BUT! most of us know there’s always one or two real cold spells in late February and March.
It’s cut back time for both, but not time to fertilize either. - Can’t stress that enough…. Still too early.
Give us a call if you need us, whether it be with “how to” questions or would like for us to cut them back.
Have a good afternoon, let us know what we can do for you, and Thank You for your business!!

Crapemyrtles…
This time of year, there’s not much to do to/with them. It’s a little too late to “deadhead” them. Too late to fertilize them, not wanting to promote too much growth right now , going into fall. - unless you’re using a low nitrogen, balanced fertilizer.
We’re pruning them selectively right now, just cleaning the interior on those needed and deciding how we want the tree to branch and work on the canopies.
Give us a call or message me if you have any questions about how to prune/trim and or fertilize them.

Good morning San Angelo!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I know.… I’m a slacker. LOL
With the drought and 100 plus temps, we have been fortunate enough to stay relatively busy.
I’m excited to announce that we are deep root injecting trees and shrubs, and…. In doing so, we aren’t only injecting organic fertilizer, we are giving the trees and shrubs the water the desperately need. I could go on and on about how we need not “push” trees and shrubs with high nitrogen right now because of the drought and blah blah. But I won’t bore you with that sort of stuff. - one of the biggest reasons we’re using organic fertilizer.
Thank you, San Angelo for your business and as always, let us know what we can do anything for you.
Jason and Jamie.

Before and after pics of a tree we worked on last week.
Lots of damage from the hard freeze last year.
We mostly removed dead/damaged wood and cleaned up the suckers ( just a bit). We left most of them growing on the outer reaches of the limbs. Trees that have been damaged like this are still not “out of the woods”. When sap starts to rise in the spring and temps get a little warmer, more dead will appear.
We will also have this tree deep root fed 3 to 4 times this year with a slow release/ low % nitrogen fertilizer.
Let me know if anyone has any questions. We generally evaluate trees and shrubs at no cost.

Good morning San Angelo. It’s been a while since I have posted on my business page, I know…
February is around the corner. Mid to late February is when we usually cut back roses and ornamental grasses, depending upon temperatures. It is ok to do this in March if our temperatures aren’t favorable- like last year.
Maintaining roses is definitely in our wheelhouse and we pride ourselves on how well we do it. Call it a specialty or “niche”…..
Thank you San Angelo for your business and everyone have a blessed day.
And as always, give us a call and let us know what we can do for you.

Driving across Texas has been an interesting occupation for foresters and arborists these past few weeks. Many trees appear as healthy and vibrant as they have ever been, but littered in amongst the growing green are an equal – and seemingly arbitrary – population of barren oak trees.
