We’re here to settle the long unanswered question of who is the best mechanic in the land!! Well, if you know him you won’t be surprised….

Mike Lanier has been with us for over 21 years, and keeps our beautiful blades turning! He is one of the hardest working guys we know. While our mechanics aren’t always in the limelight, they are vital to keeping us safe and operational. We are privileged to have the GOAT!!!

MAC1 is PRIVILEGED to celebrate the 20 year employment anniversary of our very own pilot Steve C Powell! After his career with DPS, Steve has spent the last 20 years transporting patients all across the state at our bases in Abilene, Carrizo Springs, Kerrville and San Antonio. Anyone who has had the pleasure of flying with Steve can attest to his warmth, kindness, dedication, and skill. Thank you, Steve, for caring for your community and your crew year after year.

With the recent flooding in South Texas, we partnered with the newly created Texas EMTF Air Medical Joint Partnership, along with the Texas National Guard and STRAC. Through this coordinated response, our teams worked together to provide rapid medical transportation and help ensure that affected communities received timely access to lifesaving care. This collaboration demonstrated the dedication, preparedness, and effectiveness of all organizations involved in responding to this disaster and supporting the people of South Texas during a time of significant need.

Many thanks to our local partners and the Air Evac Lifeteam flight crews for their commitment to providing critical air medical transportation under challenging conditions. We are deeply grateful for the skill, teamwork, and compassion demonstrated by all participating agencies while supporting affected communities during this emergency response.
