Senate Bill 305 Update (Effective Sep 1, 2025)
• As of September 1, 2025, the law now also covers garbage trucks, parking enforcement, animal control, toll operations, and more service vehicles with flashing lights .
• Penalties remain the same on paper, with fines ranging from $500 to $1,250 for a first violation (depending on severity) .
• Enforcement is stepping up — especially in busy zones, like around schools — with law enforcement on high alert for violations
