Today, the City of San Antonio joins our community in commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and honoring the victims, survivors, first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

Members of SAFD, SAPD, and the San Antonio International Airport team stood together in remembrance this morning, observing a moment of silence to remember those we lost and honor the heroes who responded.

We were proud to welcome the 50th cohort of Leadership San Antonio this past week for a firsthand look at how SAT is helping connect our region to opportunity.

During their visit, the class heard from Director of Airports Jesus Saenz about SAT’s role as a transportation hub and economic asset, then got an up-close look at the airport through a runway bus tour, a group photo on the airfield and a peek at the future Terminal C site.

As LSA celebrates its 50th anniversary, we value being part of the conversation about where our region is headed next. Cheers to the leaders shaping that future and to the partnerships that will help us get there!

Early this morning, 20 local veterans boarded Southwest Airlines’ Liberty One for a trip of a lifetime with Honor Flight San Antonio, departing for Washington, D.C. to visit the national memorials built in honor of their service and sacrifice.

Join us at SAT this Sunday, September 6 at 11:35 a.m. for a welcome-home ceremony in Terminal B (Upper Level) and help us give these heroes the welcome they deserve! ❤️🇺🇸

We were honored to welcome Ha Nguyen McNeill, Deputy Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration - TSA, to San Antonio International Airport last week.

Her visit provided an opportunity to connect with our airport team, discuss the important work happening across our aviation community, and highlight our shared commitment to safe, secure, and efficient travel.

Exciting progress is underway at SAT! 🚧

JE Dunn Construction has officially commenced site work for the Terminal C Parking Garage project. In partnership with the City of San Antonio - Municipal Government, SAT, and Elevate SA, the construction team is currently preparing the subgrade for a new seven-story parking garage and terminal lobby.

Plans include a brand-new, 7-level parking garage with 2,600 spaces and a climate-controlled Ground Transportation Center to streamline travel for our SAT travelers. Designed for today, built for tomorrow—including structural capacity for future eVTOL operations. Let’s get to work!
