This morning, while we were out working to safely secure the black pup, we spent some time with this handsome Malinois who has apparently been hanging around with him for about a month.
Ironically, I had started calling him Colonel… but we’ve since been told his name may actually be Max. ❤️
We’ve also been told his possible owner is currently deployed. I’m going to try to make contact with them to better understand the situation when they may be returning and, most importantly, what the plan is for Max.
Whatever that looks like, we would love to help him.
Maybe that means providing food and supplies. Maybe it means finding him a safe temporary foster until his owner returns. Or, if circumstances have changed and his owner can no longer care for him, we are willing to discuss bringing him under the rescue.
Right now, this sweet boy could use a safe place to land, some general veterinary care, good meals, and a little help putting some healthy weight back on.
