Alaska is one of those places that helps me remember why I love the outdoors and traveling.

You can find incredibly beautiful places on the side of the road. Or you can walk on glaciers (my favorite landscape in the world). Or you can climb mountains, kayak, look for wildlife… there is SO much to do and see.

Alaska feels intimidating to plan at first. It’s expensive and many of the remote national parks are hard to reach. But there is also SO much you can see within a few hours of Anchorage.

This was my 2nd trip to Alaska and I LOVED visiting in the fall.

Have you been to Alaska? Any questions about it?

Are you heading to New England this fall? 🍁

Steal my epic itinerary for New Hampshire, Vermont & Boston!

The full guide is on my blog!

💚Make sure to leave no trace when you visit! Stay on the trails, pack out all of your trash, follow rules on drone usage and parking, and respect those around you.

Day 1: Fly into Boston and drive to the New Hampshire White Mountains. If you have time, Mt Willard is a great hike to start with! (3.1 miles)

Day 2: Explore the New Hampshire White Mountains. I recommend hiking to Artist’s Bluff at sunrise, driving the Kancamagus Highway and driving to the top of Mt Washington (the highest point in the Northeast)

Day 3: Drive to Stowe Vermont and explore the area. I recommend Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Percy Farm Corn Maze, Moss Glen Falls & Mt Mansfield (the highest point in Vermont. You can drive, hike or take a gondola).

Day 4: Drive to Woodstock, Vermont and explore the area. Take a tour of Baird Farm, hike or take the gondola to the top of Mt Killington and explore the town of Woodstock

Day 5: Drive back to Boston and explore. Visit Quechee State Park on the way, walk the Freedom Trail in Boston and have dinner in the North End.

Have you done a New England fall road trip? If so, what was your favorite part?

I’d love to hear about one of your national park memories! 👇

In less than a week, I’m headed to my 62nd national park, and I cannot wait to make more memories. The national park system is truly America’s best idea.
