Cottonwood Compost was established by Symon Attema and Marinus Dijkstra as an eco-friendly recycling service based out of San Jacinto, CA in the early year of 2013. Our traditional business model is based on the aspect of not only mak
ing strides to benefit the community, but to pave a path for an eco-green distribution of waste, thus expanding the absorption of ammonium nitrates from raw cow manure and converting it to organic nitrogen. We venture to keep our business transactions sufficient with other small businesses, thereby keeping revenue within Southern California. The Cottonwood Compost supply chain is rapidly swelling by currently providing our services to eight locations within Riverside County, specifically dairies. We are constantly collaborating and discovering new ways of improving our system which will eventually lead us to provide our services to locations other than dairies based on specific needs. There is a great need for producing and selling our premium soil amendment. Without us, dairies would not only have an issue getting rid of their raw feedstock, but environmental standards would become another issue. Without composting high amounts of sodium nitrates would become become exposed in our water basins, creating a hazard for the environment.
