The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) provides bus, light rail, and paratransit services. The agency also participates as a funding partner in regional rail service including Caltrain, Capital Corridor, and the Altamont Corridor Express. As the county’s congestion management agency, VTA is responsible for countywide transportation planning, including congestion management, design a

nd construction of specific highway, pedestrian, and bicycle improvement projects, as well as promotion of transit-oriented development. VTA provides these services throughout the county, including the municipalities of Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga and Sunnyvale. VTA continually builds partnerships to deliver transportation solutions that meet the evolving mobility needs of Santa Clara County.

Measure A funds are hard at work across Santa Clara County, supporting major projects like the BART Silicon Valley Extension and the Eastridge to BART Regional Connector. This year's FY 2025 Compliance Audit, conducted by Crowe LLP, earned a clean opinion for the 19th consecutive year.

Special Events = Special Maps 🗺️ During 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, your usual route might look a little different. 🧐

Service on match days will be done in 5 stages:

⚽ Stage 1: Early Service starts at 5 a.m. and runs until 4 hours before kickoff.

⚽ Stage 2: Pre-Event Service begins 4 hours before kickoff and continues up to kickoff.

⚽ Stage 3: Mid-Event Service runs from kickoff through the end of the match.

⚽ Stage 4: Post-Event Service starts right after the match ends and continues for 2 hours.

⚽ Stage 5: Late Service runs from 2 hours after the match ends until the end of the service day.
