Hurrican UPDATE: Idalia continue to cause severe damage as it makes its way through Georgia. After surging to a Category 4 Hurricane as it made it way to the Florida coast, the storm has lost significant energy and has been downgraded to a category 1.

Hurricane - Idalia, currently equivalent to a Category 1 hurricane (on the Saffir-Simpson scale), is located in the Atlantic Ocean with maximum sustained winds of 148 km/h (92 mph), and wind gusts up to 185 km/h (115 mph). According to this forecast ( #16), the cyclone is headed North-northeast at about 31 km/h (20 mph), and is expected to weaken over the next 24 hours. UPDATE: Tropical Cyclone has moved further west, cutting across the northern part of the Philippines. Doksuri is still indicated at a Category 4 and the Storm Intensity view displayed below shows the areas that will be hit by the strongest winds. Current forecast shows Doksuri moving further north by tomorrow towards Mainland China where it is expected to be downgraded to a Category 3 Cyclone.
