A good road trip leaves you a little dusty, a little tired, and glad you went. New Hampshire does that better than most, with long stretches of mountain road, sudden lake views, and little downtowns that make you want to pull over for coffee and a bakery case.

Up north, the air feels sharper and the scenery gets serious fast. Down along the rivers and back roads, there’s that mix of covered bridges, farm stands, and plain-looking diners that turn out to be exactly what you wanted.
