Yesterday we had a wonderful opportunity to host Charles Paige High school students and Tulsa Flight Training! They gave 45 students introduction flights! The students also had the opportunity to check out our local A&P IA maintenance shop! Thank you all!!

Good evening everyone. Wanted to say thank you to all the people I have met during my time as the Airport Supervisor at Sand Springs Pogue Airport. I learned so much, met great people and I hope that everyone always felt welcome at our airport. I always wanted to be a good ambassador for our community, our citizens and our airport.

Today in history the Wright brothers accomplished the first powered flight! Aviation has come a long way in the last 122 years!

KOWP is grateful for all those aviators and airport teams that have kept the spirit of aviation alive for the last 122 years! We are looking forward for all the years to come! 🛩️

December 17, 1903, 122 years ago, Orville and Wilbur Wright accomplished the first powered and controlled heavier-than-air flight, a pioneering moment that ignited the age of aviation.

We reflect on this historic achievement with gratitude and the shared purpose that continues to guide us today.
