🚧 Evening/Overnight Ramp Closure on I-71 Northbound in Gallatin County 🚧

On Friday, Sept. 25, crews will close Exit 57 (KY 35/Sparta Pike) on-ramp to I-71 northbound from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. to perform paving operations on the ramp.

This work is part of the ongoing I-71 asphalt rehabilitation project along an approximately 3.3-mile portion of I-71 in Gallatin County.

This rehabilitation project abuts to an ongoing I-71 highway widening project in Carroll and Gallatin counties; however, the rehabilitation project is separate from the widening project.

🚧 Evening/Overnight Ramp Closure on I-71 Northbound in Gallatin County 🚧

On Thursday, Sept. 17, crews will close the Exit 57 (KY 35/Sparta Pike) on-ramp to I-71 northbound from 7 p.m. to midnight to perform paving operations in the right northbound lane.

In addition to the ramp closure, various double lane closures will be in place on I-71 northbound throughout the project limits as crews continue paving operations.

This work is part of the ongoing I-71 asphalt rehabilitation project along an approximately 3.3-mile portion of I-71 in Gallatin County.

🚧Overnight Ramp Closure on KY 1039 in Gallatin County🚧

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16, our KYTC Gallatin County maintenance crew will perform paving operations on the bridge approaches to improve safety.

To accommodate the work, a closure will be in place on KY 1039 from KY 465 to the on-ramp for I-71 northbound. The ramp will be blocked between the working hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. This work is being performed during the evening/overnight hours to mitigate travel disruptions. The ramp will reopen daily by 8 a.m.

Signage will be in place to warn folks of the upcoming closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find alternate routes.

Weather permitting, this maintenance paving project is expected to be completed by 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18. We'll let you know if additional nights of work are needed for the project.
