A precious bond that death cannot keep.
To those who mother from a distant place,
Or see her smile in their own child’s face,
To the ones who nurture with gentle care—
Including those with paws, fur, or feathers to spare,
Every mother, present or in dream,

Today we hold space, for joy and for tear,
Honoring the love, and holding it near.
For mothers are infinite, always and true,
