Congratulations to Art Guillermo, Valerie Cook and Sylvia Mathis on their retirement. Today was their last regular school day transporting students. They've spent countless hours supporting students and just having a positive impact on anyone they encountered. Valerie Cook (bus 85) spent 20 years at Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD (SCUCISD) most of those transporting students with Special Needs. Sylvia Mathis (bus 43) also spent 12 years at SCUC ISD transporting students with Special Needs. Art Guillermo spent 12 years at Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD (SCUCISD) most of those as a safety trainer. Art Guillermo has trained over 250 employees while working at SCUC ISD. We wish them the best!!

Our thanks to Kyley Ochoa in the SCUC Transportation Department. She safely (and elegantly) drove the bus containing SCUC ISD Education Foundation members, Samuel Clemens High School Drum Line performers and employees from the Human Resources Department today to every campus in the district during the Commitment to Excellence Awards announcements.
