Capitol Land and Livestock is looking for new team members to dispatch overnight for the Capitol Brand. Manage a fleet of 15 bull haulers and coordinate with other trucking companies to get the beef where it needs to be.

Capitol Land & Livestock is one of the largest cattle dealers in the United States. Our company was established in 1946 by Eugene Schwertner. Today his son Jim Schwertner, and grandson Jimmy Schwertner continue to carry on the values and traditions of the late Eugene Schwertner.
Capitol Land & Livestock is a cattle dealership. Not order buyer. That means we have fresh cattle right out of the markets for sale every day. We buy ranch and fresh sale barn calves and yearlings in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
400,000 Calves Yearly For The Past 30 Years
Capitol Land & Livestock also offers a weaning program, called Schwertner Select, that adds extra value to our customer’s cattle. We have weaned over 175,000 calves yearly for the past 30 years. We own 20,000 acres of improved pastures that are set up in 100-500 acre tracts. Calves are turned out on their natural habitat in order to decrease stress throughout the weaning process. Supplemental feed is given to the calves and we have a full time on site veterinary and cowboy staff to insure the health and safety of your cattle.

Our 3 week training program will teach you everything you need to know about dispatching trucks.
