🐴 SOMETHING BIG IS TROTTING INTO MONROE COUNTY... 🐴
Get ready, Monroe! We are just days away from officially introducing our five brand-new, clean-energy Gillig CNG fixed-route buses to the streets.
To celebrate, we brought back one of our favorite MCTA traditions: an employee contest to name the new members of the herd. Our team saddled up with some incredible creativity, and the winning names are officially installed by the front doors.
Starting next week, we are launching our "Meet the Herd" series. As the buses roll out, we will introduce the new bus, celebrate the creative MCTA team member who named it, and share a bit of fun trivia about its name.
📸 THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: Once these ponies hit the pavement, the hunt is on. We want you to help us spot them. When you see one of our named new buses out moving Monroe, snap a photo and tag us.

This public service campaign was introduced in 2006 by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). The goal is simple: Show our community that there are great options outside of traffic and high fuel costs.

Tomorrow marks the official launch of Pocono Pony’s Miles for Meals drive. We are totally nuts about this community, and we need your help to fight hunger.
Starting tomorrow, June 15 through June 27, you can bring unopened plastic jars of peanut butter right on board any Pocono Pony fixed-route bus. Every single jar goes a long way toward helping feed our neighbors.
• Benefits: The East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Food Pantry.
• Important Safety Rule: Please make sure your jars are plastic. For safety reasons, glass jars cannot be accepted.
