Yes Women's Conference

It is with much prayer and consideration that the Yes Conference Committee has collectively decided to cancel the 2020 Yes Women's Conference. There are many factors that went into play when making this difficult decision, and we are devastated to have to make this announcement. We were so looking forward to seeing each and every one of you and having an amazing day of worshiping our Lord! However with all the challenges we are all facing with Covid-19, we felt we needed to keep our attendees’ and vendors' safety a priority.

There are many unknowns regarding any changes in regulations that could or could not come in affect before the August 29th date. There are many questions about how we could correctly and safely implement social distancing practices and occupancy limits. Secondly, many of our town's events that were scheduled around the same timeframe have also been canceled or postponed. We also wanted this conference to be like last year's conference. It was a time where we could all let down our guards, be totally immersed in God's presence, HUG, and grab hands with your neighbors. However, we do not want to jeopardize anyone's health or safety and want to comply with the current regulations set by our state.

If you have already purchased a ticket, you have a few options. You may save your current ticket to use for the 2021 Yes Women's Conference. If you purchased a paper ticket or a ticket on Eventbrite, you can receive a refund by sending an email to [email protected]. Lastly, if you would like donate your ticket money towards next year's conference that would be appreciated as well.

Again, we deeply regret having to make this difficult decision. We greatly appreciate your understanding. Please keep us in your prayers as we will be praying for you also. We hope you all plan to join us for our 2021 Yes Women's Conference on May 15, 2021!

This is the week we’ve been looking forward to since last years conference. While we are totally bummed that we are not hustling like crazy and over-stressing this week to make sure all the tiny details come together for the conference that was suppose to be held this Saturday, we do know this was all part of God’s plan from the very beginning. We have Faith in the one who is Holy and Sovereign. We know that ultimately, with our conference and our own lives, we truly have no control, but it’s so nice to be at peace with the one who does!

While we are sad to have to have rescheduled our date, that doesn’t mean we aren’t just as excited for our new date, August 29, 2020! We look forward to seeing you ALL this fall and more than anything, we look forward to seeing what God is going to do at this years conference!

As previously announced, we have decided to postpone our 2020 Yes Women’s Conference. We feel this in the best interest of our attendees, volunteers, and committee members’ health and also complies with the current social distancing guidelines laid out by Governor Ivey. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. We hope you still plan to attend because we cannot wait to see you!

As posted on our Event Brite website for the conference, we are unable to issue refunds online. However, ALL tickets already purchased are transferrable to the rescheduled date. Tickets ARE still available for purchase at www.eventbrite.com, www.yesconferenceal.com and at the First Baptist Church office in Scottsboro.

On behalf of the Yes Women’s Conference Committee, we would like to announce that our conference scheduled for May 16th, 2020 will be postponed to a later date this summer/fall. We want to comply with current social distancing standards and make sure everyone is as safe and healthy as can be. We are truly sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

Once our speakers and vendors are reconfirmed we will post the new date for our 2020 Yes Women’s Conference. As posted on our Event Brite website for the conference, we are unable to issue refunds online. However, ALL tickets already purchased are transferrable to the rescheduled date.

Again, we apologize for any problems this change may cause, but we believe this is in the best interest of the health of all our attendees, speakers, vendors, and volunteers. Plus we are huggers and want everyone to be well so that we can hug you!

Remember how he spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, “It is necessary that the Son of Man be betrayed into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and rise on the third day?”’ And they remembered His words.”

We cannot possibly fathom the love our God has for us! “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8. He died for me. He died for you. He died even for the people in jail or people you don’t necessarily like. Yet He GAVE HIMSELF with the whole world in mind so that we could be saved and have a home in Heaven if we believe in Him. He knew in advance what His job was even before He was sent from Heaven to Earth. Yet He just gave himself over to a terrible crucifixion that He didn’t deserve for me. For YOU! That’s love! Let’s not ever forget the sacrifice of His love for us!

Blessings to you all during this trying and uncertain time. The same promise of blessings God bestowed upon Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are still upon us today. He is for us and He is all around us! Blessings for His favor, strength and peace to each and everyone of you today. AMEN!
