We've got some beefy tidbits to share on National Prime Rib Day!
๐ Prime Rib is also known as a Standing Rib Roast. At one time, it was also referred to as a Sunday Roast because it was a staple at Sunday meals where family and friends would come together.
๐ฅ Anyone preparing this big cut of beef works to make it as tender as possible. Aging, slow roasting, seasoning and humidity control all help chefs make Prime Rib magic!
๐ก๏ธ For a medium rare roast, cook the internal temperature to 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Although...our preferred setpoint temperature is 28 degrees to ensure it gets to those chefs fresh, safe and to the quality they expect.
๐ฝ๏ธ The best place to get a cut is going to depend on personal preference. Based on our time on the road and the opinions of the freight friends we've made along the way, here are some stops that are worth a taste test:
1. 4 Charles in Manhatten, NY
2. Gibson's Steakhouse in Chicago, IL
3. Rustler's Rooste in Phoenix, AZ
4. Ward's House of Prime in Milwaukee, WI
5. Clyde's Prime Rib in Portland, OR
6. The Prime Rib in Baltimore, MD
7. House of Prime Rib in San Francisco, CA
8. Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse in New Orleans, LA
9. Pink Poodle Steakhouse in Crescent, IA
10. Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse in St. Petersburg, FL
11. Jasper's in Richardson, TX
