An Important Day for Shared Ride Transportation!
COLTS was grateful to be part of today's Northeast Regional Transit Ride- Along event hosted by the Monroe County Transportation Authority (MCTA) – Pocono Pony!
Our Director of Shared Ride Operations, Kelly Matone, and Chief Communications and Compliance Officer, Keri Savage, Esq., appreciated the opportunity to join fellow transit advocates, legislative representatives, and community members for an important conversation about the future of Shared Ride transportation in Pennsylvania.
Today was about more than a ride. It was about making sure the voices of those who depend on accessible, reliable transportation are heard.
We are especially thankful to Senator Rosemary Brown, representatives from the offices of Representatives Maureen Madden and Jack Rader, and Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association Executive Director, Kim Whetsell for taking the time to listen, ask questions, and better understand the challenges facing Shared Ride transportation and the individuals who rely on these essential services every day.
Having elected officials and their representatives willing to engage in meaningful, firsthand conversations is incredibly important as we work together to advocate for the continued accessibility and sustainability of these services.
A special thank you to MCTA for including COLTS in today's event and for creating an opportunity to bring these important conversations directly to those who can help make a difference.
