This is a memorial window I just completed for a long time friend whose husband passed away a year ago or so. This is Mt Rainer, a place they enjoyed hiking together. The stream coming down the mountain contains some of his ashes.

Yesterday I received the nicest "write up" by a sweet, fun, and creative lady :)

This photo went to a really rad human and fellow . Maureen, who owns Seabeckian Glass Works where this piece is now hanging (definitely check out her studio on FB! Iโ€™ve had some FUN there!) asked for a , floral mountain landscape. She sent me the most incredible photos for some inspiration but one photo had the most beautiful purple and orange sky. I was obsessed with that intense contrast, and here in the Hood Canal we often get those kind of intense sunsets in the summer, I felt super inspired!
A big 3ft x 4ft canvas for her space was harder to get my hands on than I had anticipated as COVID-19 had just recently shut everything down, after finding it and enduring a few shipping set backs with paint I was ready!
I have definitely been feeling the stress that many of us have right now, being suddenly in charge of my sons school work, working through the shut down with my team at the salon, teaching myself to build my humble web site and dealing with some pretty awful flares in my health conditions throughout this have all caused their fair share of anxious and heavy feelings. This piece was truly an escape for me during shut down. It was a much needed meditation. I loved to put on headphones and let go of the day by stippling clouds, smoothing out mountains, scraping in grass, and flora. Being able to loose myself in the colors of the paint and sounds of my music these last few months, in between all thatโ€™s going on has been amazing and Iโ€™m so thankful to be able to create a piece that will hang in a space for art, and expression. Thank you Maureen! I am so glad you love your painting and I hope some of you are able to go create something beautiful in her studio someday and see it! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’—

Well, this morning I discovered that my photo file of my stained glass work has gone missing from my page. So I'm going to be in the process of reloading pictures that I can easily locate. So this will explain why you may be inundated with pictures you've seen in the past. Sorry.......I'm sure not a happy camper this morning....arrrrgggggg
