Team Raven and their Corsair 24 trimaran asked for a few upgrades. Here are a few before/after shots. We were able to fully rewire the boat, add instrumentation, and have an aluminum arch fabricated for their new solar panel. They will have an additional flex panel they can deploy for a total of 200W feeding a LiFePo4 battery. Good luck Team Raven!

Access hatches to critical steering connections are vital. This boat had a leaking 8" plastic deck plate right beneath the helmsperson. We opted for a bronze replacement which is much more solid. We epoxy sealed the edges/holes as well.

We trust our cleats to hold our boats safe at their slips and moorings. They and their backing plates should be up for the task. Deck penetrations here were drilled/filled with epoxy, new plates bedded with Sikaflex, and all cleats/hardware bedded with butyl tape.

G10 is light, strong, inert, and easy to work with, suitable for backing plates, engine beds, or keel-bolt washers.

A little excitement for the crew of this Cal 22 on Lake Union. The previous owner had clamped the gudgeon bolts too tightly and compromised the skin. Luckily, the rudder floated and we were able to salvage it. It needed alignment, beveling of the existing glass, several layers of fiberglass/epoxy, fairing, primer, paint, and anti-fouling. Now it's back in action.

Hose clamps without rolled edges can cut through hoses over time. This coolant hose leak had been worsening until it failed completely, you can see the red crystal buildup. The autopsy confirms several areas that wore through. This temporary repair should get the owner home until they can order a replacement with the correct hose clamps.

A rising exhaust elbow can prevent you from flooding your engine with seawater. This engine had a standard elbow with no rise, you can see evidence of salt crystal build-up dangerously close to the exhaust valves. Solved with a custom 316L SS mixing elbow.

Here's a project from last year, a custom 316L windlass bracket. This keeps the motor inside the v-berth and out of the elements. The black covers are UHMW sealed with butyl tape. Please forgive the weld quality, the weld chemistry was correct but the operator was lacking 👨‍🏭
