It was such a pleasure taking our awesome crew and their families to Mason last weekend. We had an amazing time! I was so busy having fun I didn’t take enough pics. I should have hired a photographer!

Troy and Jason doing the final touches and dust removal before painting the hull of a 52’ Regal. It took about three weeks to prep it to this point!

To prevent debris from ruining the paint job, everything in the tent that’s not intended for paint gets cleaned, protected, and the ground is watered down.

Filters for air flow are on one end of the tent and fans to fan out the overspray are on the other.

A heater will run after the paint is sprayed for quicker drying.

It’s quite a process!

This lovely little Fletcher runabout was built in Port Angeles, WA in 2002. It’s a classic little cruiser made from solid Honduras mahogany.
We re-varnished the hull, transom, and the deck. We also painted a new boot top and gave her a fresh coat of bottom paint. Now Doug is taking her to see Craig at Mac’s Upholstery for a new cover. She is ready for summer ☀️

The Canal Boatyard has a shiny new toy! Aside from those bad-to-the-bone industrial tires, this brand new travel lift has a fuel efficient Cummins diesel engine, sling adjust at the touch of a button, wireless remote controls, accurate digital scale and measurements, and a custom top beam extension to allow sail boats of any size to enter the travel lift slip bow-in for haul-out. She’s a beauty!
