To say I'm excited about Holland America Line's Evolution announcement would be an understatement!

I'm proud to work for a company that is willing to invest in its product through a forward-thinking and thoughtful vision for the future. They've listened to the feedback from both our guests and our team members, focusing on the experiences people love most about cruising with us.

Next up is Zuiderdam, which will become the second of six ships in our fleet to receive this incredible transformation. I can't wait to see these exciting enhancements come to life and to share them with our guests! Sailing will be open July 30th ( sailings start Spring of 2028).

Recently reopened after a major enhancement project, the island now features a more elevated and convenient guest experience while keeping its natural, untouched beauty. One of the biggest upgrades is the new cruise pier, allowing ships to dock directly instead of tendering ashore—making arrival smoother and faster for guests 🚢

Once on the island, guests can enjoy expanded beachfront areas with more space to relax, additional loungers and shaded spots, and upgraded cabana and daybed options for a more comfortable beach day 🏖️ The layout improvements also make it easier to explore the island, whether you want quiet time by the water or a livelier beach setting with music, food, and drinks nearby.
