Marine Parts & Service Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Marine Parts & Service Manager to oversee our daily marine service operations, technician workflow, and parts inventory. Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers: greeting clients, assessing boat/motor repair needs, providing estimates, and updating them on repair status.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and conduct final walkthroughs with customers upon delivery.
Enforce shop safety procedures and ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local environmental standards.
2. Parts & Inventory Control
Source, order, and maintain inventory for OEM and aftermarket marine parts, accessories, and maintenance supplies.
Manage supplier and vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, handle backorders, and minimize repair turnaround times.
Perform regular physical inventory audits, track inventory turns, and minimize obsolete stock.
Stage parts and materials for upcoming repair jobs so technicians have necessary components ready.
3. Team Leadership & Financial Performance
Lead, mentor, and evaluate marine technicians and service support staff.
Track service metrics, including billable hours, warranty recovery rates, parts margins, and customer satisfaction scores.
Process warranty claims with marine manufacturers
Qualifications & Requirements
