1:20am Update: This scene is now clear.

8:13pm Original Post: There is currently a large law enforcement presence in the area of the Las Villas Community off of Youth Care Lane. Please avoid this area as this is an active investigation.

Officers are investigating reports of an individual firing a weapon into the air and then returning back inside their residence; where officers have been unable to safely make contact.

SPD Units are working to secure the area and assist nearby residents with evacuation efforts.

We will update once the scene is clear.
