Fine Together Adventures Join us, Glenn & Karen on our full-time RV journey. 39 years married. 20-year Air Force veteran + 15 years federal service.

Downsizing, hitting the road, and proving every mile… It Will Be Fine. We’re Glenn & Karen — married 39 years, best friends forever, and finally stepping into a chapter we’ve dreamed about for decades. After serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, and then 15 years in Federal service, Glenn recently retired. With both of us now 58, we decided it was the perfect time to simplify, reset, and begin our long-awaited adventure into full-time RV living. As we downsize our sticks-and-bricks life and prepare to roll out in our Fleetwood Discovery LXE — lovingly named Sterling — we’re documenting every step of the journey. From letting go of the things we no longer need, to preparing our home for sale, to learning the rhythm of life on the road, we want to share the real moments: the lessons, the laughs, the challenges, the wins, and the miles ahead. The RV community is filled with amazing people, including many fellow veterans and public servants. To all of you — thank you for your service. We hope our journey encourages and inspires you, whether you’re planning your own transition or simply curious what it looks like to reshape life at 55+. Through every chapter of our marriage, one promise has always guided us:
It Will Be Fine. And now, with the road stretching out in front of us, we’re thrilled to begin this next adventure… Fine Together.

Thanks to Lisa and Mike MaBerry for hosting us today at the Vineyards at Rancho Sereno. They were great hosts although the weather was chilly we enjoyed a couple glasses of w**e and some great pizza. Of course we couldn’t leave empty handed so we purchased two bottles.

We enjoyed the history and conversation. If you’re in the Lake Texoma area they are only 25 min away.

Tonight we headed to Pelican’s Landing, just about a mile and a half from Lake Texoma, for dinner.

Glenn ordered the blackened catfish étouffée, and I had the blackened catfish dinner. Both were delicious! 🐟😋

They also have outdoor seating, which is a great option if you want to enjoy your meal outside.

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

That’s one of the things we’re loving about our travels—discovering great little places along the way. ❤️

We spent the last two nights at Big Texan RV Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, and had a great time exploring the area! 🤠❤️

It’s definitely a tourist destination, but that’s part of the fun!

One of our stops was Slug Bug Ranch, where old Volkswagen Beetles are covered in colorful graffiti. 🚗🎨 You can even bring your own spray paint and add your personal touch. Now that’s something you don’t see every day! 😂

Of course, we couldn’t leave Amarillo without dinner at the famous Big Texan Steak Ranch! 🥩

Karen had the prime rib, which was absolutely delicious, and Glenn enjoyed a ribeye. Great food and another fun experience to add to our travels!

Now we’re back on the road and heading to Lake Texoma,Texas, where we’ll spend a few days relaxing and exploring. 🌅🚐

We’re discovering that every stop has something unique to offer, and that’s what makes this adventure so much fun!

We made it to Coyote Keeth’s RV Park for the night, and boy, is the wind blowing! 🌪️ Sterling is parked, and we’re staying tucked inside to ride it out. Tomorrow we’re back on the road, heading to The Big Texan Ranch for a couple of days of Texas-sized adventures! 🤠🥩

Another day, another adventure! It will be fine! ❤️🚍

🍖🔥 Our First Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Stop! 🚐

Today we stopped at Front Range Barbecue in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for lunch!

Featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, this place did not disappoint! Great barbecue and incredibly friendly and helpful staff! ❤️
