Hello everyone. Our featured employee for the month of September 2026 is Brian Kustanbauter. Brian is a paratransit driver and has been with EMTS for five years. He and his wife Angie reside in Muncy. They run a week long Volunteers in Mission Program which helps people in need within the community with minor repairs. improvements and landscaping at their homes. They are the proud parents of 3 children. Amanda who works in Quality Control, Michael 2nd lieutenant in U. S. Army. Michaels wife, Rose is also 2nd lieutenant in the U. S. Army. They are stationed in Hawaii and have an 18 month old son, Alexander. Son Joshua is enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and is stationed in Alaska. Brian also enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. Thank you Brian and family for serving your community and country.

If you’re looking for something to do today between 1130 and 5, come on out to the forksville volunteer fire co’s community day! we have food, fun, games, raffles with really awesome prizes , and fire truck rides. AM Flashback is here to play music, and Smokey The Bear will be by later to make an appearance. Come out and support the Forksville Fire Company today! Go 53!

Just wanted to put something on here about how much of a pleasure it is working with the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company. Good open communications between the leadership of the fire company and EMTS, being asked what supplies we need and having them provided in a timely manner, and just a general spirit of goodwill on both sides. Issues that come up are handled respectfully through the proper channels, rather than each and every small situation being turned into a major drama involving a lot of diagonal supervision and negativity on a daily basis. Thanks Station 13 for a great first 6 months!

Lots going on at EMTS:
Van 2 was in a minor collision (someone hit our door at the load / unload zone at Abigail Pavilion last week. So that is in the shop for repairs.
A big thank you to Lock Haven EMS, who loaned us a van for temporary use until Van 2 is back on the road. This all happened the same day as the accident, and we were extremely grateful for that!
Repairs are being completed on the lift cylinder on Van 3 today, and that will be back in service tomorrow.
We will be on standby at the Montgomery Fireworks Friday night, so come down and enjoy the show. Stop by the fire company's sandwich stand, I will be there serving up the yummy stuff!

OUR FEATURED EMPLOYEE FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2026 IS RUBEN ADAMS..RUBEN CAME TO EMTS AS A PARATRANSIT DRIVER THEN EMVO AND IS NOW AN EMT. HE IS ALSO A VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTER FOR THE SUNBURY FIRE DEPT. AND HOPES TO TAKE HIS FIREFIGHTER 1 CLASSES LATER THIS YEAR. RUBEN AND HIS WIFE, TERESA, LIVE IN SUNBURY. THEIR CHILDREN RANGE IN AGE FROM 4 TO 18 YEARS. THEIR TWO OLDEST SONS GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL THIS YEAR. ANTHONY WILL ATTEND PURDUE TO BECOME A VETERINARIAN AND RASHAD WILL BE ATTENDING WIDENER UNIVERSITY ON AN ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP. HE WILL BE MAJORING IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT.RUBENS FAVORITE PAST TIME IS SPENDING AS MUCH TIME WITH HIS FAMILY AS POSSIBLE. HE ALSO ENJOYS WATCHING AND PLAYING SPORTS, SWIMMING AND GOING TO THE GYM. WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE RUBEN ON OUR TEAM AT EMTS.

Last night, for our monthly Con Ed, we did a tabletop disaster drill with Montgomery. Everyone learned a lot from one another, and several important preplanning topics were discussed. Station 13 personnel, EMTS personnel, EMA and an outside EMT were all present.
