Next week is our big Heavy Clean-Up week on your regular collection day. We will NOT be collecting recycle or yard waste during this week.
Many people in town have been gearing up for it, please hold off until the day prior to sit out your items.
Please, please remember these helpful hints:

BAG your loose trash.
SEPARATE materials; wood, metal, furniture, general trash. We have several trucks that will come through at different times throughout your collection day.
ORGANIZE your trash. That may sound funny, but when your pile is neat and tidy, it makes for an efficient cleanup for our crew.
USE your judgment. We cannot fill up an entire trash truck at just one stop. And we won’t. We don’t set these limit guidelines to be mean, but rather to make it possible for every stop to get collected during this busy week.
DON’T be like the stops in this picture. Your neighbors and our crews will thank you. (We will not collect a stop that is like this, and the property owner will be responsible for removal) It’s just best for you and for us to set it out in a proper manner so everyone is satisfied.
DONATE items that can be reused. Many people would be happy to take items off of your hands. There’s even a local “giving” page in our community as an easy way to give to others rather than putting good items into the landfill. Check out FB page Shelbyville Indiana Giving Place.
