Gila Hike and Bike Full service hiking and biking shop. The Gila Hike and Bike was born.

Ever since the dawn of the bicycle, someone has been listening to down tempo electronica at the corner of Bullard and College street in downtown Silver City. In 1986 a super hip Indianapolite named Jack Brennan decided to blend downtempo music, downtown silver city and two wheeled pedaling action and KA POW! Specializing in everything from high-end Trek Project One masterpieces to walmart flat repair, we turn nobody away and strive to offer the best customer service and mechanical knowledge in the land. Primarily a Trek store, we hold accounts with Moots, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Raleigh, Cervelo, Shimano and QBP to name but a few. So if you find yourself with a cycling itch you can't scratch, you should see a doctor, and he'll tell you to visit the Gila Hike and Bike in Downtown Silver City!

Gravel bike? Yes please! Beach cruiser? Bring it! Mountain bikes e-bikes clunker bikes, alll are welcome (well maybe road bikes aren't suitable...). 

75-90 minutes of your precious time, riding on all of the surfaces, plenty of regrouping spots. Finish as the sun is painting the hills.  No need to take this too seriously, that's the point.

Group rides happenin' this week, and note that it takes some seriously crappy weather for Eric to call off a ride, esp when starting from the shop. Not quite torrential and marginal lightning? RIding is still a possibility with a rain jacket.

Thursday: leave shop at 5:30 for a mix of dirt roads, pave, and light light singletrack. Gravel bikes welcomed and encouraged, but a snappy MTB would be totally fine. Route is on the short side, maybe taking an hour. This is an experiment with the possibility of a steeper gravel ride west of town next go-round.

Friday; ride the Ft Bayard Singletrack starting from Open Space Brewing Company with possibilities of cold drinks afterward.
