📌 DETROIT

From Upstate NY to Detroit, we have settled into our new “home”.
Detroit has a lot to offer and in the past week we have gotten to explore a lot already!
~ Henry Ford Museum
~ NHL Red Wings game
~ NBA Pistons game
~ Downtown walking tour

We can’t wait to spend more time exploring Detroit and the state of Michigan! We are hoping to be in this area for 3 to 4 months but as we know our plans could change and our time cut short.

📍Salem, MA

Quick weekday trip to Salem. Lots of history, sadness, and coastline.
Highly recommend doing a walking tour of some kind. I did Salem Night Tour which was great for learning the history of Salem and about the Witch Trials. Here are some takeaways from the tour.

* The Witch House is the only structure you can visit in Salem with direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692. It was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin.
* The Bewitched statue pays tribute to the well-known TV sitcom ‘Bewitched’ and its filming of the seventh season here in Salem.
* In 1992, a memorial was created for the 20 victims of the witch trials.
* Proctor’s Ledge was dedicated on July 19, 2017, the 325th anniversary of the hangings.

📍Thousand Islands, NY

Cale and I spent this last weekend exploring Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Islands region. It is a beautiful place with lots of history and no shortage of boats.

Some fun facts:
▪︎ there are over a thousand islands - 1,800 islands
▪︎ thousand island dressing originated from here
▪︎ 95% pure fresh water

💥 LIFE UPDATE! 💥
For the past 2 and half months we were in sunny Florida. We lived near Cocoa Beach and really enjoyed our time there.
But we do have a house on wheels and with that means we can just pack up and go.
So we did to Syracuse, NY.
We are thankful for this opportunity and adventure to NY because we were able to visit family on our way.
We visited Cale's great aunt in Jacksonville, FL and Sarah's cousins in St. Simons, GA. We also stopped in Washington DC for two nights and passed through Philadelphia.
We have been at our NY location for a couple of weeks and are getting settled in.

Yesterday Cale and I took a road trip from Rockledge, FL where we are staying to Daytona.

We saw the tallest lighthouse in Florida at Ponce Inlet. The tower is 175 feet high and you must climb 203 steps to get to the balcony.

We also got to go to the Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway thanks to a stranger giving us tickets. It was a great experience and a great race to watch!

Couldn't have asked for a better day of exploring. We hope you had a great weekend of exploring and an even better start to your week! 👍🏼
