Well… around Par Logistics, you celebrate accordingly. 😂

Today we kept things cool & fresh with plenty of blue, frozen treats, and one person who decided simply wearing blue wasn't enough and showed up as an actual melting blueberry popsicle. 🫐🧊

Because apparently at Par, if there's an oddly specific national holiday… there's a good chance we'll find a way to dress for it. 😂

🏁🛣️ THE PAR ROUTE 66 RACE IS OFFICIALLY OVER! 🛣️🏁

After an entire month of miles, challenges, questionable navigation, flying paper freight, mystery gloveboxes, coded license plates, artistic disasters, cargo problems, and a LOT of teamwork… we finally have our Route 66 champions. 😂

🥇🚗 TEAM CAR — 5,426 MILES

Car didn’t just make it from Chicago to Santa Monica and all the way back home — they still had another 530 miles in the tank.

So naturally, they left Route 66 behind and headed straight to MEMPHIS for the victory party. 🎸🏆

Congratulations, TEAM CAR — our 2026 Route 66 Race Champions!

🥈🚌 TEAM BUS — 3,790 MILES

Bus made it all the way back between Amarillo and Shamrock, Texas.

Unfortunately, they spent a little too much time checking out Cadillac Ranch… and then somebody remembered school started. 😂

The bus has officially been recalled to its regular route. 🚌📚

🥉🛸 TEAM UFO — 3,119 MILES

UFO made it back to the Winslow/Holbrook, Arizona area, but apparently the crew got distracted investigating the desert for signs of extraterrestrial activity.

Eventually, the mothership called. 👽☎️

They abandoned Route 66 and headed back to space. 🛸

4️⃣ 🚙 TEAM JEEP — 3,110 MILES

Jeep made it between Winslow and Flagstaff, Arizona before things went downhill.

Apparently they spent WAY too long standin’ on the corner in Winslow, Arizona 🎶… and shortly afterward, the Jeep decided it had driven quite far enough.

Vehicle breakdown. Trip over. 😂🔧

And just like that, our month-long road trip comes to an end!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, represented their teams, stepped outside their comfort zones, tolerated Race Headquarters’ nonsense, and fully committed to making this competition as much fun as it was.

The Captains brought the miles.

The Road Crews brought the chaos. 😂

And somehow, everybody made it to Santa Monica before things completely fell apart.

🛣️🏁 ROUTE 66 RACE UPDATE: THE FINAL WEEKEND IS HERE! 🏁🛣️

Today brought our final Road Crew challenge — Route 66 Bag Drop! 🎯

And apparently… the cargo was NOT interested in being delivered. 😂

The challenge proved tougher than expected and no team managed to score, so Race Headquarters awarded 5 miles to every team for showing up, taking their shot, and competing.

But then came a little surprise. 😈

Throughout the entire month, we weren’t only tracking who won each individual challenge. We were also watching how each Road Crew worked together — who stepped up, how responsibilities were rotated, and how well each team involved its crew whenever they had the opportunity.

These teams have drawn, decoded, memorized, built, thrown, folded, created, competed, and fully committed to every ridiculous thing we threw at them this month. 😂

So today, each team received a surprise Road Crew Teamwork Bonus worth up to 1,000 additional miles! 🏆

And those bonus miles made a BIG difference.

🚗 TEAM CAR — 4,190 MILES
🏆 +950 Teamwork Bonus Miles
Currently in 1st place, making their way between Catoosa and Galena on the trip back toward Chicago!

🚌 TEAM BUS — 3,080 MILES
🏆 +975 Teamwork Bonus Miles
Currently in 2nd place, just outside Flagstaff!

🛸 TEAM UFO — 2,631 MILES
🏆 +925 Teamwork Bonus Miles
Currently in 3rd place, between Rialto and Barstow!

🚙 TEAM JEEP — 2,448 MILES
🏆 +1,000 Teamwork Bonus Miles
Currently in 4th place and officially leaving Santa Monica for the trip home! 🌊

Which means ALL FOUR TEAMS have now officially made it to the Santa Monica Pier and begun the return trip. 🙌

But this race is NOT over yet.

We’ll have our FINAL CHECK-IN Monday morning, when the Captains’ last miles are added and we find out exactly where every team finishes after a full month on Route 66.

One last weekend.

One last mileage update.

And then… we crown our Route 66 champions. 🏆🛣️🏁

🚘🧠 ROUTE 66: LICENSE PLATE LOGIC RESULTS! 🧠🚘

Yesterday’s challenge had our Road Crews staring down 15 coded license plates and trying to figure out what each one was actually saying.

Some were friendly.

Some required a second look.

And some probably had people questioning whether letters and numbers had always been this difficult. 😂

Teams had 10 minutes to decode as many plates as possible, with points awarded for both accuracy and time remaining. They could also request an inspection along the way — but Race Headquarters would only tell them how many answers were wrong, not which ones. 😈

The results are in:

🥇 TEAM CAR — 18.75/25
14 of 15 correct • 4:45 remaining
+4 Route 66 miles

🥈 TEAM BUS — 17.98/25
12 of 15 correct • 5:59 remaining
+3 Route 66 miles

🥉 TEAM UFO — 16.92/25
13 of 15 correct • 3:55 remaining
+2 Route 66 miles

4️⃣ TEAM JEEP — 14.50/25
13 of 15 correct • 1:30 remaining

Car takes the win with the strongest combination of speed AND accuracy, while Bus apparently decided there was absolutely no reason to use all 10 minutes. 😂

🎩 WACKY WEDNESDAY: CRAZY HAT DAY! 🎩

Apparently, today at Par Logistics, thinking caps were mandatory. Normal hats were not. 😂

Our team showed up in everything from barnyard couture 🐄 and summer bucket hats ☀️ to flowers, fur, camo, and whatever botanical situation is happening in the middle. 🌸🌺🌼

Some went subtle.

Some went stylish.

Some clearly heard “Crazy Hat Day” and took it as a personal challenge. 😂

Just another Wednesday proving that around here, we can handle freight AND questionable headwear. 🚛🎩

🚗✏️ ROUTE 66: BACKSEAT DRIVER DRAWING RESULTS! ✏️🚗

For this challenge, each team sent in a Driver (aka the Artist) and a Backseat Driver (the Describer).

The Backseat Driver got to see the original Route 66 scene and had to describe it without naming the objects, while the Driver had to recreate the picture based only on those verbal directions.

No pointing, no gestures, no peeking — just communication, interpretation, and a whole lot of “wait… what shape do you mean?” 😂

Teams were scored on how accurately their final drawing matched the reference, with bonus points for finishing early and deductions for rule violations.

The final results:

🥇 TEAM JEEP — 85.8 points
🥈 TEAM CAR — 83.0 points
🥉 TEAM BUS — 74.0 points
4️⃣ TEAM UFO — 70.4 points

This one was VERY close at the top, with Jeep edging out Car by less than 3 points!

Some drawings were impressively accurate.

Some were… technically in the same artistic universe. 😂

Either way, everyone survived the Backseat Driver experience, and another Route 66 challenge is officially in the books!

🛣️🏁 ROUTE 66 — MONDAY RACE UPDATE! 🏁🛣️

Another week is underway, the odometers have been updated, and at this point our teams are spread ALL OVER Route 66. 😂

Here’s where the race stands:

🥇 🚗 TEAM CAR — 3,133 MILES
Team Car has officially made it all the way to Santa Monica, turned around, and started the trip HOME! 🔄 They’re heading east through Arizona and are just about to reach Winslow.

🥈 🚌 TEAM BUS — 2,038 MILES
Bus has made it past Oatman and is now heading toward Needles, California — getting very close to crossing into California!

🥉 🛸 TEAM UFO — 1,613 MILES
UFO is cruising through New Mexico between Grants and Gallup, and they’re getting very close to Gallup.

🚙 TEAM JEEP — 1,343 MILES
Jeep has made it past Tucumcari and is working its way toward Albuquerque.

To put this race into perspective:

🚗 Car is already on the return trip
🚌 Bus is approaching California
🛸 UFO is crossing New Mexico
🚙 Jeep is making its way west through New Mexico

And we are not done yet. 😈

There are still more Road Crew challenges, more Captain miles, and plenty of opportunities for those odometers to climb before this Route 66 race comes to an end.

🎶🛣️ ROUTE 66: ROAD TRIP RADIO RESULTS! 🛣️🎶

Today’s Road Crews pulled into Race Headquarters for a 15-song music challenge featuring a mix of road-trip classics, millennial favorites, and a few songs designed to make everyone question whether they’ve ever actually listened to the radio. 😂

For each song, teams could earn:

🎵 1 point for the song title
🎤 1 point for the artist

30 points were up for grabs.

The playlist included everything from Life Is a Highway, Mr. Brightside and Lose Yourself to Take It Easy, Surfin’ U.S.A., Shut Up and Drive, Californication, and Sweet Child O’ Mine.

And the final scores are:

🥇 TEAM BUS — 22/30
🥈 TEAM CAR — 16/30
🥉 TEAM JEEP — 13/30
🛸 TEAM UFO — 10/30

Congratulations to Team Bus for clearly having the strongest road-trip radio game today! 🚌🎶

There were some instant recognitions, some very confident wrong answers, and definitely a few moments of “I KNOW THIS SONG… WHAT IS IT CALLED?!” 😂

✈️📦 ROUTE 66: PAPER AIR FREIGHT RESULTS! 📦✈️

Yesterday’s challenge sent our Road Crews airborne for Paper Air Freight!

Each participating Road Crew member folded their own paper airplane and got one official flight to earn points for their team. No practice throws, no do-overs — once that plane left your hand, the shipment was officially in transit. 😂

After all flights were completed, the final rankings were:

🥈 TEAM BUS
🥉 TEAM UFO
4️⃣ TEAM CAR

Some freight flew beautifully.

Some freight took a more… creative interpretation of air transportation. 😬✈️

Either way, another Route 66 challenge is officially in the books!

💌🛣️ ROUTE 66: POSTCARD FROM THE ROAD — FINAL RESULTS! 🛣️💌

Our Road Crews spent the weekend sending postcards back to Race Headquarters from their latest Route 66 stops — and these were easily some of the most creative entries we’ve had so far. 😂

Each postcard had to include location-specific artwork, a Route 66 shield, a complete hand-designed scene, and a message to Jim describing the team’s very questionable adventures on the road.

The postcards were judged on required elements, location connection, creativity, and the message, with Jim also ranking the fronts and messages without knowing which team created them.

With 35 Route 66 miles available, the final scores are:

🥇 TEAM BUS — 32 miles
📍 Carthage, Missouri

🥈 TEAM JEEP — 31 miles
📍 St. Louis, Missouri

🥉 TEAM UFO — 30 miles
📍 Lebanon, Missouri

🚗 TEAM CAR — 26 miles
📍 Clinton, Oklahoma

Between running out of gas, roadside assistance, questionable wildlife encounters, emergency cash problems, fake travel advice, and some seriously impressive artwork, the Road Crews absolutely understood the assignment. 😂

The postcards are now joining the Route 66 wall display so everyone can see the masterpieces that earned those miles.

Great job, Road Crews! The race continues west! 🏁🚌🚙🛸🚗💨
