TEXAS ➡️ MONTANA 🏔️ | THAT’S A WRAP!
Seven days, thousands of miles, a 6,500 sq. ft. home, and one incredible move from Southlake, Texas all the way to Bozeman, Montana.
This was one of the biggest moves we’ve taken on at 1836 Moving, and we couldn’t be happier with how smoothly everything came together from start to finish.
The timeline looked a little something like this:
📦 1 full day of packing
🚚 1.5 days of loading
🛣️ 2 days driving from Texas to Montana
🏠 1 full day unloading in Bozeman — and unloading in 78-degree weather in the middle of August definitely wasn’t too bad either! 😎🏔️
🛣️ 2 days making the trip back home to Texas
7 days round trip.
A move of this size and distance doesn’t happen successfully by just loading some trucks and heading down the road. Planning is a huge part of what makes a move like this successful. From determining the manpower, packing materials and equipment we would need, to the loading plan, transportation, timing and unloading on the other end — this move was planned out well before we ever left Texas.
And just as important was the coordination between our crew and our customer throughout the entire process. Communication started before packing day and continued through loading, the trip to Montana, arrival times, unloading and final placement at the new home. When everyone is on the same page, a move this large can run exactly the way it’s supposed to.
Our crew packed the home, protected and wrapped the furniture, loaded everything up, made the haul across the country, and delivered it to our customer’s beautiful new home in Montana.
Once everything was unloaded, we had to snap a picture with our customer in front of the new home. After spending that much time together and traveling that many miles, it was the perfect way to close this one out.
This move truly couldn’t have gone smoother. From the first box packed in Southlake to the last piece coming off the truck in Bozeman, our crew stayed organized and worked together the entire way.
We take a lot of pride in our local moves here in DFW, but jobs like this show what 1836 Moving is capable of. Whether we’re moving you across Southlake, across Texas, or 1,500+ miles across the country, we bring the same standards, attention to detail and preparation to every move.
And of course, we couldn’t travel all the way to Montana without taking a little time to enjoy that scenery before heading back to Texas. 🏔️
