I've had a few views on this page so thought I'd update a bit. We are still in the same little house in Tucson, Trailswest Mobile Home park, but no longer have the 23 foot trailer. We have a 19.5' trailer that we are now in the process of selling. Not a good time to be doing so but we just don't enjoy using it.

I"m still very much involved in the park activities. When Covid hit, everything came to a stand still but we're back up and running now. I still play shuffleboard and love it. I'm doing pretty good and have learned so much in the 6 years I've been playing. I still play hand and foot cards and now play hand, knee and foot cards twice a week. Still involved in chair volleyball till shuffleboard league starts. I go to all the karaoke and dance nights but not so much the potlucks. The temps are in the 100s now as it's mid June which is also monsoon season. We're hoping for rain. We have to walk at 5am now as it's too hot later. We were walking at 7am. One morning it was already 85 at 5am. I am still painting, watercolor mostly and make junk journals. Enjoying it all. We've made 3 trips to Italy researching family and find some cousins, old and young. This year we're making anothe trip in August for 3 months. The last trip was 2 months. We love it over there and just can't wait to get going. I'll come back in a couple days and tell you more on that. Our travels have not stopped. Just went from a motorhome to an airplane! ciao!!

WE have sold the Alfa motor home but are not giving up traveling. Just another chapter in our on the road life. We purchased a cute little modular/mobile in an over 55 park that is a beautiful park. We just bought a 23 foot travel trailer and will continue to travel and can dry camp in the desert much easier. We're probably heading north about the end of April to get away from the heat here.

Here is Tucson, in case some of you don't know. We are really liking it here despite the over 100 degrees in the summer. I stay active playing hand and foot card game, have participated in the pool exercise, play no fall volleyball, I"m on a shuffleboard league team learning the strategy is so fun, play horseshoes, bunco and wii bowling. Never a dull moment.

So, I'll post and keep you up-to-date on our fun to come.

The only traveling the Andersons are doing are back and forth from Amado, AZ Mountainview Ranch RV where Chuck is living in the motor home and fixing it to sell, and Tucson, AZ the house where I live. We're, right now, planning on selling the motor home and if we travel, which I"m sure we will, we'll get a small trailer just for traveling not for living in.

We have a blog if you're interested www.myartandcraftsdotcom.blogspot.com

I have been working on aproject for the last few weeks and decided I really should, at least for myself, document this re-do journey.

Since we left Gonzales, I thought I posted but can't find it, we've been to Las Cruses, NM, Deming, NM and we're here in Benson, AZ at the El Rio Rv Park.

We've had a good time. Las Cruses was pretty big, went to White Sands museum. We stayed at the Siesta RV park.

In Deming, we stayed at the Roadrunner RV park. We went to Palomas, MX for an afternoon for lunch.

The weather has been beautiful everywhere we've been. Deming is quite a small little town. As is Benson. They do have a Walmart here and we found a donut shop!

This is our last night in Benson, AZ. We spent a couple days in Siera Vista, AZ. Shopping and having lunch. Love that little city, about 48k population. They have lots of shopping and familiar stores. Its in elevation, I think around 4k feet and has season changes but not as extreme as MN. Gets pretty chilly at night but very pleasant during the day. We love it there but it's about 30 miles from Benson so we didn't get there every day.

We leave in the morning for Gila Bend, AZ for one night. It's our last stop before our winter destination in Yuma where we'll workamp in their bowling alley. I'm anxious to make new friends and see the park, clunhouse, etc. Should be a good winter. That'sat the Carefree Village RV Resort.

Getting ready to leave Gonzales, TX tomorrow. Qe can't thank Mark enough for his hospitality. We enjoyed being here so much but the wearther!!! omg! Hot and humid! Not sorry to be leaving that behind.

We got to see Austin, San Marcos and everything in between. Had an awesome lunch at Docs in Austin ending it with the biggest piece of cheese cake ever! And totally awesome!

Looking foward to moving on with our plans. Hopefully staying ahead of and getting out of the way of the bad weather coming.

Just left Waco, TX and heading to Gonzales, TX to visit Mark, Chuck's brother. Should be there in about 3 1/2 hours.

Waco was quite a disappointment to us. Not sure what we expected but it is a much bigger city than we thought and how it's portrayed on TV.

We went to the Magnolia Market, Chip and Jojo's retail silos and found another disappointment. Hundreds of people were there, good for Chip and Jojo but hard to see things in the shop. There were no vignettes set up like she would design but cute things sitting around like a normal retail store. I thought things were a little pricey and living in a motor home means I really can't buy decor. Much of the things for sale were pretty big scaled.

The freeway is weird here but I suppose a person can get used to it. Frontage roads, on I35 anyway, were one way. So south on one side and going north on the other. Really confused our GPS gal. You have to actually go beyond where you want to go and then come back. They have turnarounds at the exits because of the one ways. THe frontage roads were about 3 lanes wide at the entrances and exits.

We got all our laundry done yesterday since we did our touristy stuff the day before The weather is humid and rather warm.

Just 2 miles into Texas. Rest stop and onfo center.

Left Perry, OK after a wild night of severe weather; rain, wind gusting up to 60 mph, thunder and lightning. The lightning was actually pretty over the lake. It all lasted only about an hour. We brought in the slides, turned off the lights and watched the show over the lake.

It's a very nice park and I can see why it's so popular with the campers from the area. $25 with full hook-ups.

On the way now to Waco,TX. We'll be there for two nights. The drive today will be over 300 miles but we did that yesterday.

The roads aren't the best. I35 south must be used a lot by truckers as the road is suped bumpy. Maybe they just dont do repairs.

Right now we're 60 miles from the Texas border. Stopped at one of the few rest stops for Chuck to rest.

More later.

Crossed the wide Missouri River last night and stayed in Nebraska City, NE. Beautiful park. Victorian Acres RV park. Warm and humid all night. Hard to sleep. My allergies are getting worse but should get better when we get into drier climate.

Heading into KS and the turnpike toll road. No tornadoes yet!

There were so few rv parks along hwy 29 in NE or IA. made for a stressful day. Today will definetly better. Can't get worse. 29 was along the IA and NE border.

Maybe we'll stop early enough for me to make a decent dinner. Or get a burger or something.

We are in Nebraska City, NE for the night at Victorian Acres RV Park. Really super nice park. We got full hook ups, 50amp and a pull-thru. Made a run to Walmart for bread and beer. Going to relax and be on the road again tomorrow. What will tomorrow bring?
