Nature Nugget of the Day
🌧️ After a rain, you might notice the forest feels a little more active than usual.
Look closely on sunny breaks along rocks, logs, and trail edges, you may spot a five-lined skink moving quickly through the area.
These small lizards are common in Tennessee woodlands and are often seen darting for cover when they’re out in the open.
📸 If you happen to catch a photo on your hike at Burgess Falls or Window Cliffs, feel free to share it in the comments, we’d love to see what you find!
