Difference between TOPSOIL and FILL DIRT

Fill dirt is dense subsoil with little organic matter, used for deep leveling, building foundations, and raising land grades. Topsoil is the nutrient-rich, organic upper layer of earth meant for growing grass, plants, and gardens. Most deep holes or grading jobs require both: fill dirt for the bottom base and topsoil on the surface.

Some people out there spreading false information saying it cost so much money to put new stone on your driveway. Finishing up the biggest driveway job Klaiber Trucking has bid this year. Thanks to Bailey Excavating for the excavation side of things. The long driveway was washed out and hadn’t seen gravel in years. Finishing up with over 150 tons of 53 gravel spread.
