Thirsty Thursday! The day where I recommend one of our favorite places to grab a drink at Walt Disney World Resort!

Today's hot spot - the AbracadaBar at Disney's Boardwalk Resort Hotel! An aesthetic little spot to escape the rain or the heat and grab a classy cocktail, and marvel at the vintage collection of art and magic.

WDW Resort Wednesday: Today we highlight our favorite resort - Animal Kingdom Lodge!

I've already shared quite a bit about this resort, but that is because we just can't get enough of it! From the view of 4 different savanna's, to multiple world class dining options, to one of the largest collections of African Art - this resort really lets you experience life on safari.

Travel Tip Tuesday: Give yourself time to explore Disney Springs! Especially for those of us used to Downtown Disney at Disneyland, make sure to plan some time to explore this massive area with tons of shopping, places to eat and drink, entertainment, and activities!

Here are two of our favorite spots we discovered on our last trip - Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar for late night snacks and drinks on the night we flew in, and the Boathouse for a light brunch before we flew out on our last day!

Let's talk Universal Express Pass!!

We have done Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with and without the express pass, and have decided that for people like us - who really like to only spend one or two days at Universal it is 100% worth it!

Universal is a resort we like to crush rides in, and the Express pass allows us to get the most bang for our buck, and hit as many rides as possible in a short amount of time.

Did you know that booking at participating resorts (Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, Portofino) offers a complimentary express pass as part of your package? We will typically stay one or two nights at one of these hotels at the beginning or end of our trip, so that we can utilize this huge perk!

Thirsty Thursday! The day where I recommend one of our favorite places to grab a drink at Walt Disney World Resort (or in this week's case - Universal Orlando!)

Did you know you can get a boozy butterbeer by going to the Hogs Head Pub in the back of the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmead? Just ask for a shot of your favorite liquor (we liked it with Whiskey the best!) for an extra kick, and to tone down the sweetness of the drink! Cheers!

This week is all about Universal - so we are switching up our WDW Resort Wednesday to highlight our favorite Universal Orlando Resort - The Loews Royal Pacific Resort!

We stayed at the Royal Pacific during our trip last July, and are heading back next month with friends because we enjoyed it so much!

The Royal Pacific is not only beautiful, with great rooms, pools, and dining, but it is WALKING distance to the entry gate of Islands of Adventure, making rope drop so fun and easy! They have a private security gate to get into the Universal Parks, so you can skip long waits and crowds, and make sure you're first in line for Hagrids or Velocicoaster. 10/10 Recommend staying here!

Travel Tip Tuesday - Universal Studios Islands of Adventure: Which Attraction to Rope Drop.... Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, or Velocicoaster?

While both of these coasters are tons of fun, and will have long waits throughout the day (express pass won't help you here), we recommend Rope Dropping Hagrid's and here's why!

Velocicoaster, though newer, will typically have a shorter wait throughout the day than Hagrid's. Because of the intensity of Velocicoaster, many younger, or not as adventurous riders will shy away from its high speeds, towering drops, and overall intensity. Hagrid's is much more doable for riders of all ages and adventure levels, so will typically see longer lines consistently throughout the day.

We recommend rope dropping Hagrid's and then hustling over to Velocicoaster before crowds reach their peak for the day!
