Let’s talk river cruising…and the part nobody really wants to talk about: insurance. 😬
If you’ve been following the travel headlines this summer, you’ve probably seen stories about low water levels on some of Europe’s rivers.
And here’s something many travelers don’t realize:
There is travel insurance specifically designed with river cruising in mind - including coverage options or add-ons that may address certain river cruise disruptions.
This is exactly why I don’t believe travel insurance should be one-size-fits-all.
Suzy, who is 20 and heading off on an adventure, may have completely different concerns than Bob, who is 80, still a kickin’ world traveler, and has absolutely no intention of slowing down.
The trip matters. Your age matters. Your concerns matter. Your investment matters.
When you work with me, I listen to what YOU need and help point you toward the insurance option that makes the most sense for your particular trip.
Officially, I “offer” travel insurance and will always direct you to the insurance company for specific questions about coverage, claims, and policy language.
But behind the scenes? I’ve completed training on the different insurance products I offer because I want to understand what I’m putting in front of my clients and why one option may make more sense than another.
Because protecting a $3,000 Caribbean vacation and protecting a $15,000 European river cruise aren't necessarily the same conversation.
Insurance may not be the fun part of travel planning. But neither is watching the Danube get lower and suddenly wondering, “Wait…what happens to my trip now?”
Don’t wait for someday. Travel now. And make sure you understand how you're protecting that trip, too.
