Fifteen technicians. Twelve Hogan locations. One incredible week of competition, training and teamwork. 🔧🏆

Earlier this month, some of Hogan’s top technicians traveled to our Atlanta shop for the annual Hogan Top Technician Competition—an event that celebrates technical excellence, professional growth and the people whose expertise keeps Hogan moving.

Throughout the week, competitors put their knowledge and skills to the test through written exams and hands-on stations covering brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, EV safety, 24-volt systems, cybersecurity, liftgates and more.

All three winners are ASE World Class Technicians and have previously represented Hogan at National SuperTech. Their accomplishments reflect an exceptional level of skill, dedication and commitment to continued learning.

As Vice President of Maintenance Matt Starkey says, “Iron sharpens iron.” The Hogan Top Technician Competition gives our technicians the opportunity to challenge one another, exchange knowledge and return to their shops prepared to make their entire teams stronger.

We are incredibly proud of every technician who competed and grateful to the judges, volunteers, Hogan team members and vendor partners who contributed their time and expertise to make this year’s event a success.

A proud Hogan family moment in Obetz! 🚛

Austin Pickens, one of the first drivers hired for our DT Marengo startup in January 2026, recently had the opportunity to park his truck alongside his father’s. Doug Pickens has been a Hogan car-hauler since 2023, and Austin has often shared how proud he is of the career his father has built here.

Now serving as a full trainer and onboarder at the Marengo site, Austin is building an impressive Hogan career of his own.

Our team recently partnered with Dollar General for a “Beat the Heat” event focused on keeping drivers safe, informed, and supported during the summer months. ☀️

The event included food, snacks, cold drinks, cooling towels, fleet walks, summer driving and workplace safety education, and plenty of time for relationship building. Our team also kept extra cases of water on hand for any drivers who needed to stock their trucks.

Thank you to everyone from Hogan and Dollar General who helped make the event such a great success. We look forward to continuing these events throughout the summer!

Our Marengo team recently held their Quarterly Site Meetings for our fleet of professional drivers, bringing together Operations and Safety for a day focused on connection, continued learning, and improvement.

During the meetings, the team celebrated a major safety milestone: no preventable DOT accidents since the account started in February 2026. They also discussed opportunities for continued site improvement and took the learning outside with a hands-on pre-trip inspection exercise. Drivers were challenged to inspect a truck and trailer with intentionally placed defects, helping sharpen the skills needed to identify potential issues before hitting the road.

A big thank you to our Safety Team for their continued partnership and support in making these meetings meaningful, engaging, and valuable for our drivers. At Hogan, safety is never about checking a box — it’s about working together, staying sharp, and keeping our teams moving forward.

Proud to partner with Goodwill Memphis on a dedicated fleet solution built around their needs.

As part of this new partnership, Hogan ordered spec-specific 28’ box trucks to support Goodwill’s transportation and retail network across the greater Memphis and Northern Mississippi markets. After delivery, our team partnered with Goodwill’s marketing team to redesign, print and install updated fleet branding across the units.

These trucks are now on the road helping move Goodwill’s mission forward — increasing awareness for their work, their community impact and The Excel Center, which provides free high school education for adults.

At Hogan, we believe strong partnerships start with listening. This project is a great example of how tailored solutions can support both operations and a larger mission.
