As winter weather approaches, we want to remind our customers and followers to take precautions to protect canvas tops, enclosures, and frames from heavy snow and ice accumulation.
Excessive snow load and ice buildup can place significant stress on canvas materials and framing systems, potentially leading to:
-Sagging or stretching of canvas
-Cracked or broken window enclosure panels
-Bent frames
-Torn seams or panels
-Premature wear and costly repairs
What we recommend:
-Regularly remove snow before it accumulates
-Avoid allowing ice to form or refreeze on canvas surfaces
-If possible, lower or remove canvas tops and enclosures during severe weather
** reminder that enclosure window panels are brittle in the cold so take care when removing, bending, etc or panels can crack and break. Best to store flat
Taking a few preventative steps now can help extend the life of your enclosure and prevent avoidable damage.
Stay safe and stay warm this winter.
