Wearing proper PPE on any yard is essential to keeping yourself and those around you safe. Every piece of gear plays an important role in preventing injuries and claims.

Before entering any customer yard, make sure you have all required PPE, including:
• Steel toe boots – protect your feet from falling or rolling objects
• High visibility vest or shirt – help others see you around moving equipment
• Hard hat with chin strap – protect your head from impact and keep the hat secure
• Safety glasses – shield your eyes from dust, debris, and flying objects

Safety starts with preparation, and wearing the right PPE is your first line of defense!

Fall weather can bring changing road conditions, reduced visibility, and unpredictable temperatures. 🍂

As we head into the cooler months, we encourage all DMT drivers and contractors to stay alert, monitor weather conditions, and take the necessary precautions to stay safe on the road. A little extra preparation goes a long way in making sure everyone gets home safely!

A look back at a great Driver Appreciation Week at DMT! 📸

From time spent at the terminals to giveaways, good food, and plenty of familiar faces, we enjoyed getting the chance to celebrate the drivers and contractors who keep DMT moving every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the week and made Driver Appreciation Week a great one!

Intersections leave little room for error. 🚦

Stay alert, watch your surroundings, and never assume another vehicle is going to stop or give you the right of way. Taking an extra second to double-check before moving through an intersection can make all the difference.

Every day, our drivers and contractors represent DMT on the road and at our customers’ facilities. Their safety, professionalism, and dedication are what make our company successful.

That’s why this story from the Alabama Trucking Association hits close to home. It highlights the belief behind PS Logistics’ beginnings and a commitment we share at DMT: give the people behind the wheel the support they need to succeed.

Read more about Scott Smith’s leadership that connects our companies below.

Most trucking companies chase the customer first and figure the drivers will fall in line. In building one of the industry’s largest and most successful trucking businesses, Scott Smith and his longtime business partner Robbie Pike flipped the script.

Tony S. was recently pictured practicing safe habits on the job in a post from the ATA Comp Fund!

Tony joined DMT in August 2022 and is an owner-operator running out of our Noble terminal, where he works with Driver Manager Teia W. We’re glad to see him representing DMT out on the road!
