Happy bus riders board for their morning ride under blue skies.
FYI: Meadow Lane is closing as soon as Monday of next week (9/28)!!
Project background:
Replacement and upsizing of culvert in a residential neighborhood
Culvert travels beneath Meadow Lane and conveys flows from Bear Creek Tributary (a tributary of Walton Creek)
Existing culvert is under capacity for the 100-yr storm (defined as a major storm that has a 1% chance of occurring in any given year)
Purpose is to limit adverse impacts to surrounding properties and reduce street overtopping & washout.
Anticipated start of Meadow Lane full road closure: I will let you know when we have an exact date. Likely sometime in the last week or two of September.
Anticipated duration of road closure: approximately 4 consecutive weeks.
During this time, both lanes of Meadow Lane will be completely closed off at the project site to all through vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic. A detour will be put into place and all residences and business will remain open via the detour for the duration of the project.
During the closure, SST will be temporarily modifying their standard route for City busses.
Bus stops on Village Dr south of Walton Creek Rd and all of Meadow Ln will not be serviced during construction. This includes 4 stops: Alpine Ridge/Meadowlark, Sunray Meadows/Sunburst, Bear Drive, and Timothy Drive
-Passengers that use the Meadowlark and Sunray Meadows stops are advised to get off at Trappeur’s Crossing
-Passengers that use Bear Drive and Timothy Drive stops are advised to get off at Whistler Park
-Normal bus operations will continue once construction is complete
