Prodrive came in for its service before getting into a heavy duck season
We do a leak down test before even starting the rest of the service we have found that the vanguards tend to have some blow by around the valves mainly the intake valve so we always check before we start so we can get the heads off and lap the valves and that gives it a fresh seat to seal up on and we recheck after wards to make sure that it’s sealed up and no air is leaking past the valves !

Duck season is coming if you are in need of getting your duck boat serviced we are here for your duck boat needs! We are a pro-drive dealer and gator tail dealer we can do any warranty work on the vanguard engines and keep most all service parts and common parts that fail.

Not forgetting you outboard guys we have most all your service oils fluids filters and various of other parts in stock and can get you ready for the duck season!

We also have some WJR Accessories in stock and also many different lights from southern lite in stock also!

Did a 500 hour service on this 250 Yamaha
When doing your services there is more to it then just fluids and filters even if the water pump is still pump you should still service your water pump and thermostats to grease the splines and bolts so when there is a issue it will come apart. On these new Yamahas they have designed the drive shaft as two piece system and if not serviced it can cause major issue in the future!! Also very over looked service item on these is the the fuel cooler on the back of the vst can get clogged and packed full of corrosion and cause your fuel to over heat and boil and then cause hard starts when hot and lower the life of your high pressure fuel pump!
