What an incredible sight over Sandy Springs tonight! 🌙✨If you are up go take a peek!

The eclipse put on quite a show, with the moon glowing a deep reddish-orange while the night sky lit up over the campground. There’s just something extra special about watching a moment like this from along the Ohio River. ❤️🌙

Campground nights are pretty hard to beat. 🏕️✨

Riverside Campsites Are Filling Up!

There’s still time to squeeze in another camping weekend along the Ohio River! We only have a few riverside campsites left for our remaining weekends this season.

August 21 & 22 - Site 5
August 28 & 29 - Sites 4 & 5
September 25 & 26 - Sites 1, 5 & 6 (Ocktoberfest)
October 30 & 31 - Sites 1 thru 6
November 6 & 7 - Site 8

We do still have openings other then this in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows.

When the Ohio River is running high, the view gets a whole lot closer! 😳

Caught two towboats passing each other right in front of the campground, and with the river up this high, they look like they’re practically in our campground.

Definitely one of those Sandy Springs views that makes you stop what you’re doing and watch. There’s never a dull moment on the river!

Not your everyday river traffic! 👀🚢

It looks like we may have caught BB Riverboats’ Emma Rose making her way back down the Ohio River, accompanied by the former passenger barge used for crew accommodations.

Emma Rose was recently acquired by BB Riverboats and made the trip upriver from Newport, Kentucky, to Bellaire, Ohio, for drydocking earlier this summer.

One of my favorite things about being right on the Ohio River — you truly never know what’s going to float past Sandy Springs! 🌊❤️
