Setting the Stage for 2,500+ Dreams

Last week, Sacred Heart University celebrated its 60th commencement at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport—2,500+ undergraduate and graduate students receiving their degrees.

Meyer made it happen:
🔴 Loaded and transported complete stage infrastructure from campus storage to amphitheater
🔴 50 stage chairs, podiums, ceremonial elements, and 3,500 diploma tubes
🔴 University flags, mace, banners, and all signage
🔴 Temporary flooring in SHU basketball arena
🔴 Chairs and tables at multiple reception venues across campus

Our embedded partnership with SHU—including a full crew permanently assigned to campus—enables seamless ex*****on during the university's busiest week of the year.

Commencement isn't just another event. It's the culmination of years of work, and we're honored to support the moments that matter most.

Congratulations to Sacred Heart University's Class of 2026! 🎓

Last month, Meyer supported one of the most complex federal relocations in recent memory — helping move approximately 3,500 HUD employees to a new headquarters in Alexandria, VA. At one point, our team relocated 240,000 square feet of staff and materials in one and a half days.

But the part of this project we won't forget had nothing to do with speed.

Within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Native American Programs, three ceremonial headdresses of deep historical significance — including one believed to have been gifted to President Eisenhower in the 1950s — needed to be relocated. Moving them required a senior Sioux Nation tribal leader, a ceremony involving the burning of sweet grass, for the prayers to be offered.

Meyer's team never touched the headdresses. That was never our role. Our role was to make sure the moment was handled with the reverence it deserved — including arranging a private limo for the tribal leader and his cargo.

Proud to do this work alongside our long-time partner Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) and our OMA partner JK Moving Services. Projects like this remind us why trust, in this business, is everything.

Behind every successful delivery is a team committed to doing the details right.

Recently, our team supported National Distribution Services by receiving 9 Panera Bread freezers into our warehouse and coordinating the redelivery of the units across several locations. From carefully managing strict delivery windows to avoid peak business hours, to uncrating, assembling, and preparing each unit for immediate use, every step was handled with precision and care.

At Meyer, we don’t just move equipment.
We provide end-to-end workplace solutions that help our clients operate smoothly during times of transition.

➡Let’s build stronger operations together. Connect with us to learn how Meyer can support your next project!
